About us

Our Story

Rooted in tradition, building toward tomorrow.

How We Began

In communities like Legehama, self-reliance is essential for survival and prosperity. Kadijah Alisho Traditional Craft Center aims to protect and enhance that self-reliance by creating a space where craftsmanship isn't treated as just a relic of a cultural past, but actively practiced, taught, and grown.

By investing in the youth of Legehama, the center turns cultural knowledge into new opportunity. Teachers supervise and train students in the crafts that have nurtured their community throughout the ages. Every skill and trade learned translates to a direct improvement in the quality of products for the community as a whole.

Each lesson passed down builds a stronger foundation for the next generation. We hope to foster a space where that exchange happens openly and often, so that community members can leave the center more equipped to tackle the challenges of the day.
